Markowetz

Over two decades, Alexander Markowetz has built up an extensive understanding of digital technology.

Today Markowetz transfers this knowledge to medicine and psychology. His approaches enable the collection of a large number of data points, for cohorts of any size, over any period of time. Big Data becomes a methodological revolution in the human sciences. With the Menthal Project, Markowetz has collected the largest such data set available to science, and founded the discipline of psychoinformatics.

In his other research track, Markowetz studies the effects of digitalization on politics, society and the economy. He understands digitalization as a civilisatoric turning point and political project, to be that needs to be shaped. Markowetz researches digital infrastructure, ordoliberal economic areas, and an economy without marginal costs. His focus is on B2B, medium-sized businesses and interoperability.

Alexander Markowetz has advised politicians, companies and public authorities. He has coached start-ups and investors. In Bonn he founded Murmuras, a start-up for smartphone tracking in psychology, medicine and market research.
